Our Philosophy

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL AND CONSULTING SERVICES TO OUR CLIENTS

Decades of experience have given us a deep understanding of how best to work with our clients. We believe that our government and commercial program managers are looking for ways to improve the quality of their decisions. Our expertise can provide them with the information, research, critical thinking, and organizational development tools to help them do that.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT TECHNOLOGY

We believe that today, more than ever, our government and commercial program managers are looking for support in transforming data into information, information into knowledge, and knowledge into wisdom. What is needed is not another ‘widget’. What is needed is a better way to get things done and to make decisions about what is being done. Technology can help in transforming data into information, but it takes experience to transform information into knowledge and expertise (the combination of knowledge, skills and experience) to transform knowledge into organizational wisdom. Right now, government and civilian agencies alike are just beginning to see the power of integrated and synchronized data sources. We want to help make sense of that data and build the practices that allow that data to improve the quality of health care delivery while improving the efficiency and costs of the health care business.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

To us, health care agencies are complex organizations, similar to an ecosystem in which checks and balances emerge organically. Ushering change in a complex system requires understanding the nature of organizations and how teams can influence and shape the organization. Too often, organizations create new processes, layered on top of existing processes, rather than accepting the challenge of changing the existing processes. The organization gets larger, but only by accrediting more and more processes; it does not necessarily “grow”. Making changes to this system, making the system become more effective, requires courage and effort. We want to support those program managers who take on this type of challenge.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT OUR ROLE

Although we have experience as government program managers, we understand that our role is to support the government to provide our clients with the knowledge, skills and expertise necessary to make more informed decisions. As a professional services organization, we use our experience to take on tasks for our clients that allow them to spend their time and attention on other matters – but always operating in accordance with their guidance. We keep in communication with our clients and don’t assume that “we know better”.

HOW OUR EXPERTISE CAN SUPPORT MILITARY MEDICINE IN PREPARING FOR FUTURE CONFLICT

Trifecta Solutions brings years of experience in retired military personnel who have honed the ability to game-out scenarios looking for ways to implement evidence-based best practices, identify areas of flexibility, identify limiting factors, and support the task-saturated medic with critical thinking skills that enable them from point of injury through the evacuation process. We understand that medical support for future conflict requires a different strategy in support of prolonged field care, the tyranny of distance, possible lack of air superiority or interrupted communications. Technology can be enabling when it is developed and used as a force extender and doesn’t compound the problems for the medic on the ground. The mind-set of the medic and the entire military care system must change from tens of casualties to hundreds – thousands of casualties!  The strategy and execution of medical care during conflict must address the entire continuum from point of injury/care all the way back through the medical system and the strategy surrounding. We are prepared to support our government clients in addressing the problems and solutions for these issues.
